Good vision is essential for effective learning. Children are often unaware of changes in their eyesight, struggling to see at school without anyone knowing. A baseline eye test is recommended for all children before starting school, and every year thereafter. |
Adults can develop vision problems in the distance as well as at near. Regular eye tests at least every 2 years are recommended. Especially if there are any eye diseases that run in your family, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. |
Our eyes change as we age. Cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other eye conditions can develop as part of the ageing process. For this reason we recommend annual eye tests for people over the age of 60. |
