A former student of Kew High School in this very community, Philip studied at the University of Melbourne where he completed his Bachelor of Optometry and Ocular Therapeutics training. He has a wealth of clinical experience as a full-time optometrist in Melbourne for 15 years in a range of clinical settings including corporate and independent practices.
Previously based in Doncaster he served the eye care needs of families in the Manningham area and developed a reputation for accurate and thorough eye tests, excellence in patient care, integrity and professionalism. Philip has an interest in ocular disease and is qualified to prescribe ocular medications to treat eye infections, inflammatory conditions, glaucoma, and for myopia control. He is also an experienced contact lens practitioner with expertise in complex contact lens fitting. Philip established this family optometry clinic with the aim of providing the best eye care to the Kew and Boroondara community where he grew up. With himself having a high degree of myopia (short-sightedness) he is passionate about helping the kids of today avoid developing poor vision from high myopia, now that effective and safe treatment options have become available. Besides English, Philip can conduct consultations in Chinese (Cantonese). |
